Paige has been involved in the sport of skating for more than 26 years. She is a double Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field and Ice Dance and has also passed her Pre-Silver Freestyle and Silver Solo Free Dance tests.
Growing up in the Greater Cincinnati area, Paige competed in singles and solo dance throughout her childhood. Her individual competitive career included qualifying for U.S. Solo Dance Nationals, where she earned a bronze medal in 2014. In high school, she joined the Oxford Ice Crystals synchronized skating team, where she discovered her passion for the discipline.
After graduating high school, Paige attended Miami University and skated on both the Junior and Collegiate Varsity Synchronized Skating Teams. Throughout her collegiate career, she helped Miami earn both silver and bronze medals at the U.S. Synchronized Skating National Championships.
During her senior year at Miami, Paige began coaching with the Intro to Synchro program at Goggin Ice Center. Following her graduation in 2019, she became a full-time teacher, while continuing to coach. Over the past seven years, she has coached synchronized skating teams ranging from Aspire through Intermediate levels with both the Miami Skating Academy and the Indian Hill Winter Club.
Paige is entering her 4th season as Head Coach of Team Precision Edge. During her time with TPE, she has helped numerous teams earn medals at competitions throughout the Midwest, while contributing to the continued growth of the program from four teams to five. She is passionate about helping athletes develop confidence, teamwork, and a love for the sport and is excited to continue supporting the growth and success of the TPE family for years to come.
Dorothi grew up on the west coast in Scottsdale, Arizona and migrated here to the Midwest about 35 years ago. She has been involved in many of the areas of figure skating, including competing as an elite skater, touring with professional ice shows, running skating schools and coaching many skaters through testing and competitions.
Dorothi was a National and International Partnered Ice Dance competitor. She has her U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medals in Figures, Partnered Pattern Dance, Partnered Free Dance as well as Partnered International Dances. She has been coaching since 1989 and also skated in professional ice shows performing as a principal adagio (pair) skater. Dorothi has her Master Ratings in Moves in the Field (now Skating Skills), Partnered Dance, Partnered Free Dance, Figures, Group Instruction and Program Director. While working through her ratings she also acquired her PSA Level III Ranking and has served on the Professional Skater’s Association Board’s Executive Committee as Second Vice President. During her tenure with PSA she also served as the chair for Dance on the Ratings Committee as well as PSA State Workshops.
Dorothi has always loved the process of learning more to help her skaters become better athletes and give them quality instruction.
Always a strong advocate of a positive training environment, Dorothi strives to make sure coaches, skaters and skater’s parents work together to create a foundation of trust and work toward what is best for each skater and their needs.
Melissa is a recent graduate of Miami University’s class of 2025. During her time at Miami, she skated on the Senior Varsity Synchronized Skating Team for 4 years, qualifying for two consecutive world championships in 2022 and 2023. She began coaching for Team Precision edge in 2022 as an assistant coach for the intermediate team and continues teaching private lessons to skaters at Goggin.
Originally from New York, she grew up skating for Team Image synchronized skating team’s developmental and junior lines. Melissa competed on behalf of Team USA from 2019-2025. She holds gold medals in Skating Skills, Ice Dance, Solo Dance, and Solo Free Dance. She is excited to start with Aspire 1 as head coach and continue assisting with Open Juvenile and Intermediate this season!
Maria has been involved in skating for about 20 years! She is a gold medalist in moves in the field, partnered pattern ice dance, and solo free dance. She grew up skating in the Washington DC area as a member of National Blades, Capitol Steps, and Team Delaware. Maria attended Miami University earning degrees in Mathematics and Mathematics Education in 2020 and a Masters of Arts in Teaching in 2023. During her undergraduate years, she was a member of the Junior and Collegiate Varsity Synchronized Skating teams. She is a two time bronze medalist and 2019 national champion. After graduating, Maria began teaching at Talawanda High School and coaching Miami’s Open Collegiate Synchronized Skating team. During her tenure the team has won 3 Midwestern Championships. Last season Maria guest coached with TPE and is looking forward to transitioning to being a full time coach this season and continue to grow with the team!
Zak has been involved in skating for 20 years. An Oxford native, Zak began skating synchro for the Oxford Ice Crystals before skating with Ice Force in high school. Upon graduating high school, Zak attended Trine University where he skated on the Open-Collegiate and Collegiate Synchro teams and graduated with a degree in Sport Management. During his time in college, Zak served as an inaugural member of U.S. Figure Skating’s Collegiate Ambassador program. After graduating from Trine, Zak began his coaching career at home with TPE before spending a season coaching at Trine University. Zak has previously served on the U.S. Synchronized Skating Development & Technical Committee and currently serves on the Collegiate Skating Subcommittee at U.S. Figure Skating. Zak is excited to be back at TPE this year and can’t wait to see what we achieve!
Quinn is a Senior Nursing major at Miami University and a fourth-year member of the Senior Varsity Synchronized Skating Team. Originally from Novi, Michigan, she spent eight years skating with the Crystallettes, including three seasons at the Senior and Senior Elite 12 levels. Quinn has represented Team USA since 2020. Outside of synchronized skating, she has earned Gold Medals in Skating Skills, Ice Dance, and Solo Free Dance. After graduation, Quinn hopes to pursue a career as a Pediatric Registered Nurse and eventually become a Nurse Practitioner. She is excited to be working with the intermediate team again this season!
Ciara is a Senior Chemistry Major at Miami University. She skates on the Open Collegiate Synchronized Skating team and serves as President. Ciara has been skating since she was 8 years old with various synchronized skating teams including Madison Ice Diamonds, Wisconsin Inspire, and Fond du Lac Blades. She has competed on numerous levels throughout her skating career, 3 of which were at the Junior level and has competed as a member of Team USA. Ciara is a triple gold medalist in Moves in the Field, Dance, and Solo Free Dance. In the future, Ciara plans to continue working on her international dances and hopes to become a quality controller for pharmaceutical industries. She is really excited to be working with the Open-Juvenile team again this year!
Rachel is a junior majoring in Kinesiology with a Pre-Health co-major and a member of the Collegiate Varsity Synchronized Skating Team at Miami. She is from Cincinnati, Ohio. Rachel has been skating synchro for 9 years including 3 seasons with Team Precision Edge Intermediate before coming to Miami. She is a triple gold medalist in Moves in the Field, Solo Dance, and Solo Free Dance. Rachel is very excited to work with Preliminary this year!
Katie is a Sophomore at Miami University, majoring in Sport Coaching with a minor in Japanese. She is a member of the Collegiate Synchronized Skating team. Prior to Miami, she skated synchro for 6 years with Team Precision Edge, 4 of which were on Intermediate. In addition to synchro, Katie competed in the Solo Dance series for 3 years, 1 year at Junior, with the last 2 at Senior. She is a 4x USFS gold medalist in Moves in the Field, Dance, Solo Free Dance, and Solo Dance. She has a passion for coaching and hopes to continue for many years to come. Katie is excited to work with TPE this year!
Emma is a sophomore majoring in Sports Management with a minor in coaching. She is from Oxford, Ohio and has been skating for over 16 years. She grew up skating under Team Precision Edge and has continued skating under Miami Skating. She is a part of the Open Collegiate synchronized skating team and serves as the Fundraising Chair for the Miami Ice Skating Club. Emma is a gold medalist in Moves in the Field. In the future, Emma wants to work at the Collegiate level within athletics. Emma is very excited to work with the Aspire 2 team this year!
Julie is a sophomore double major at Miami University, pursuing a degree in Economics and Sports Management with a minor in Political Science. She is also a member of the Miami University Collegiate Varsity Synchronized Skating Team and was named “Rookie of the Year” for the 2025-26 season. In high school, she skated on Team Precision Edge Intermediate for four years, where she was a Captain in her senior season. Julie is a triple Gold Medalist in Skating Skills, Dance, and Solo Free Dance. She also coached TPE Aspire 3 and Goggin’s Intro to Synchro team for the 2024-25 season, and Aspire 1 in the 2025-26 season. She is so excited to be working with the Aspire 1 team again this season!
